Primrose Roxburgh’s main objective is to find a husband, primarily someone suitable, but amongst the men who vy for her attention, no one garners so much of a flutter of interest in her. Meanwhile, her brother seems unwilling to take his responsibilities to the Roxburgh estate seriously, and with no one making the needed decisions, things are deteriorating quickly. Something must be done, but she hasn’t the remotest idea of how to run an estate.
However, her late father’s man of business, Jared Johnstone, knows more than anyone about the estate’s business. An unpleasant man who really in absolute terms couldn't be further from suitable, has no time for a young society miss well-versed in the latest fashions trying to tell him what needs to be done.
